This year, Kungfu Panda is back yay! We've also got Ghostbusters! Jungle book, Jumanji, The Hunts Man, London has fallen, Independence day, Now you see me, The Angry birds movie, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Angry birds movie, yes I know I typed that twice lol! Who did this? Are you not watching the economy? How will we spend on other things? What will you people now come out with in 2017 ehn? Excited nonetheless! I can't wait to see Batman v Superman and Xmen Apocalypse. A Jumanji without Robin Williams may be too different but let's see how they pull that off.

Bad news for all the Teen titan fans out there. Teen Titans Live Action Series gets scrapped by TNT. For fans who’ve been waiting for the Teen Titans live action series, that was called Titans, well, it’s getting scrapped by TNT. Adapted by the DC Comics title about a team of teenage heroes and former sidekicks, Titans would have kicked off with Dick Grayson as he transitioned from Robin to Nightwing, and brought together a group of young heroes. The cast included Starfire, Raven, and others. The pilot episode was set to be written by Oscar-winner Akiva Goldsman and Marc Haimes. Source: comicbook.com.

"We decided it wasn’t where we wanted to go."

Cheer up, there is much more to look forward to in the world of movies this year. Beyond the names, we will be looking at the story telling and the science behind some of the successful franchises. Who knows, that may be Africa's story in a few years. I wonder if we will see some Nigerian Superhero movies this year? African Superhero movie maybe? Possible. So, back to movies. #clutcheswallet. My new year resolution is to work really hard for art commissions so I can watch all these movies and gist you about it lol; but you, well, you just have to sit tight and watch this space not just for gist. We will be giving free tickets here at the Republic. Stay hooked! Which of the lineups are you dying to see?
